[www.inewsguyana.com] – Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment, Robert Persaud today met with a team from Nexen Energy ULC, headquartered in Calgary Canada and ESSO Exploration and Production Guyana Limited where their interest in opportunities for petroleum ventures in Guyana were expressed.

According to a statement from the Ministry, the United States and Canadian investors also has on its agenda, meetings with key agencies and commercial sector stakeholders as they seek to become acquainted with the various aspects of policy and business landscape in Guyana.

The Ministry noted that ESSO Exploration and Production Guyana Limited are operators for the Stabroek Blocks offshore Guyana where exploration activities are being undertaken.
