travelspan[www.inewsguyana.com] – Pilots were forced to turned back a Travelspan Guyana bound plane last evening [Monday, July 14] to the John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) after it developed mechanical problems mid air some two hours after takeoff.

The 213 passengers are now scheduled to arrive in Guyana tomorrow morning [Wednesday, July 16]. Local Station Manager, David Goberdhan told iNews that the flight departed JFK 15 minutes after the scheduled take off time and developed a compressor failure some two and a half hours into the flight.

He explained that passengers were adequately accommodated.
