Three years jail for Pork Knocker found with marijuana


Pork[] –   Twenty – eight – year old George Duncan – A Pork Knocker  of 17 Cane Street Meadow Bank Georgetown – was sentenced to three years imprisonment along with a fined of $48,000 on Monday September 23.

Duncan was found guilty by Magistrate Judy Latchman on September 18 for possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. Before handing down her sentence and instituting her fine, the Magistrate noted that she took into consideration the quantum of drugs involved as well as the prevalence of the offence.

On August 15, Duncan made his first court appearance before Magistrate Ann Mc Lennan and pleaded not guilty to the offence. According to the particulars of the case, police ranks acted on information received and stopped and searched the accused during which 30 grams of cannabis were found on his possession. [Royan Abrams]
