Thief nabbed by police moments after committing robbery; accomplice escapes

 

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A man who is alleged to have committed a robbery at a city hotel was shot at and arrested by police on patrol around 11:45hrs (Tuesday, April 1) while his accomplice managed to escape.

iNews (www.inewsguyana.com) understands that the alleged thief was not hit by any bullets and was nabbed on Charles Street, Charlestown after robbing the a foreigner who was leaving the Hotel.

The thieves were unaware that the police patrol was in the area. The police observed what had happened and gave chase after the two men.

Police have launched a search for the escaped thief while the other was taken to into custody. It is not clear what the men robbed the man and whether it was recovered.
