[www.inewsguyana.com] – Police investigators have been able to confirm that 15 – year – old Alicia Ali of Cummings Lodge whose nude body was found on the Turkeyen foreshore on March 25 was murdered.
The Post Mortem Examination (PME), which was done on Friday morning (March 27), found three factors which contributed to the death of the Campbellville Secondary school student, which includes strangulation, blunt trauma to the head and drowning.
The results of the post mortem have now convinced investigators that they are dealing with a homicide and not a suicide, despite the fact that a suicide note was found in the child’s bedroom.
Police Investigators also told iNews that there is no evidence at the moment which suggests that the child was raped although her clothing was nowhere to be found.
The remains of the teenager were found among the rocks at the Turkeyen seashore and the police have since questioned several persons who are closely related to the young woman.
iNews earlier today reported that the ex-lover of the child’s mother had threatened her in the past and although those threats were never reported to the police, the teenager confided in a close relative. Alicia’s body was found on the death anniversary of her father who died some four years ago.
