Teen shot in groin during Sheriff St. robbery

[www.inewsguyana.com] – An 18 – year – old Campbellville, Georgetown resident was last night (Sunday, December 7), shot in his groin during a robbery attempt along Sheriff Street. 

Police say at about 21:50 hours Bharat Kellawan, of Garnett Street, Campbellville was walking along Sheriff Street when two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, confronted him and demanded his valuables.

During the incident the man with the firearm discharged a round which struck the victim to his groin.

Kellawan has been admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital for medical treatment, as the investigations continue.
