[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) will host a fitness test for players on February 08 at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.

Technical Director of the GTTA, Linden Johnson noted the importance of the test also known as the beep test.

“We have always used it but now we looking to use it a bit earlier in order to know how to work with the players because sometimes the game would be there but the fitness was lacking a bit,” Johnson explained.

The fitness test will be for all future senior, junior, cadet and mini-cadet national players as the Association aims to have the fittest of players represent Guyana.

The beep test is a form of shuttle running and is world renowned for testing the level of fitness for all types of athletes.
