The man arrived at the Ogle International Airport on Tuesday morning (March 18) and is expected to receive further medical attention before appearing in court. La Cruz set his Port Kaituma House on fire on Friday, March 14, killing four of his children and his wife. He too suffered burns about his body.
Sources told iNews (www.inewsguyana.com) that the man is likely to be charged with arson and five counts of murder when he appears in court during the course of this week.
La Cruz arrived in a wheelchair dressed in hospital clothing and was flocked by relatives as he came out of the departure lounge of the airport. They seemed very concerned about his health and physical condition and were constantly asking him if he was ok.
He did not respond to relatives and appeared out of sorts and incapable of understanding what was happening around him.
The man continuously stared at persons while making facial expressions in response to the pains about his body. iNews (www.inewsguyana.com) observed that the man was in obvious pain as he made attempts to get out of the wheelchair aided by a police officer who wore medical gloves.
The man’s 12 – year – old daughter managed to escape.
