Six medals for Guyana at Suriname swim meet

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Guyana returned with six medals from the VOS Powerade Wedstrijden swim meet in Suriname with Dorado’s Reakwon Noel being the most successful swimmer at the junior competition.

Noel captured four out of Guyana’s six medals, inclusive of three gold medals as well as one bronze medal in the under-8 category.

The rising talent won the boy’s 7-8 50 metres backstroke, freestyle and 100 metres Individual Medley (IM) while capturing bronze in the 50 metres breaststroke to end his outing at the meet.

Sliver Shark’s Onika George won a bronze in the female 15-17 200 metres IM while her Silver Shark club-mate Nathan Hackett won bronze in the boy’s 11-12 100 metres backstroke.

The other swimmers that participated at the event were; Trumaine Cole            (Silver Shark), Leon Seaton (Silver Shark), Danielle George (Silver Shark), Jadyn George (Silver Shark) and Amber De Goeas (Orca).
