The damaged truck. [iNews’ Photo][www.inewsguyana.com] – Several persons sustained serious injuries after a truck and a route 42 minibus collided head on at Friendship, East Bank Demerara on Monday, January 26.
iNews understands that persons suffered broken limbs and lacerations about the body. When iNews arrived at the scene of the accident, the minibus was already removed from the area while efforts were being made to remove the truck.
The mangled minibus. [iNews’ Photo]It is not clear how the accident occurred; however iNews understands that the impact caused the minibus to break through the reinforcement (pal – off) on the road’s shoulder, which flung several passengers out of the minibus.
