[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) has named a 36 member squad to start training for the upcoming NACRA Championships in November.
The squad will feature eight overseas based players while including 28 local players for the training that will start on Tuesday, October 28.
The overseas players on the squad will be; Vallon Adams, Claudius Butts, Richard Staglon, Peabo Hamilton, Ronald Mayers, Dom Lespierre, Isijah Allen and Kevin McKenzie.
The locals will feature; Theo Henry, Carl Lewis, Kevon David, Akeem Fraser, O’Neal Charles, Mark Sobers, Avery Corbin, Dwayne Schroeder, Jermaine Prowell, Wayne King, Wayne Hudson, Ryan Gonsalves, Leon Greaves, Jason Tyrell, Christopher Singh, Filon Thompson, Rickford Cummings, Troy Bascom, Blaise Bayley, Jason DeFrietas, Edward Roach, Rondell McArthur, Godfrey Broomes, Ryan Dey, Lance Adonis, Ossie McKenzie, Frank Joseph and Grantley Williams.
However, ruggers will be able to play their way onto the team once their performance is outstanding at the upcoming Caribs’ RFC Anniversary Sevens set to start on Saturday.
