Robbery convict on the run arrested in Linden – Police ranks found illegal gun, ammo during search of convict’s home

A twenty-five year old Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden, resident who not too long ago was sentenced in absentia for a total of five years, having been charged with robbery under arms and unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition, was early this morning arrested by ranks of the Guyana Police Force, at his home.
gun12The Guyana Police Force noted, however, that before the convict is taken to the prison to serve his sentence, he has to face two additional charges for possession of arms and possession of ammunition.
The Police said that during the search of his house, where he was arrested, ranks found an unlicensed 9mm Ruger semi-automatic pistol with seven matching rounds.
