[www.inewsguyana.com] – A large number of respondents to an iNews Poll are disappointed with the quality of Mashramani Soca and Calypso music.
When asked the question: “Do you think the quality of the Mash soca and calypso music is improving?” 60 percent of participants said No, 30 percent said Yes and 10 percent were undecided.
Guyana’s Calypso Monarch is Lester ‘De Professor’ Charles with the winning song, “Telling the Truth.”
In second place is Roger Hinds, while Berbician Kenroy ‘Mighty Believer’ Fraser captured the third position and in fourth place is Dawn ‘Lady D’ Edwards.
The Soca King is Kwesi Ace.
