[www.inewsguyana.com] – Celebrities will trade buckets on December 13 when the Respect charity game is held at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.

Organiser of the event, James Bond at the launching on Thursday, November 20m at the Gravity Lounge, said they are hoping re-install some values the game has lost.

“Respect comes with the appreciation of values and that is what we want to bring back… it’s a call to return respect to the game,” Bond said.

Nigel Hinds, President of the Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation (GABF) was in full support of the event.

“We are pleased to support this event, we think that this will expand our fan base and expand the facets of basketball… we think it will be an entertaining event,” Hinds said.

Organiser of the event, Rawle Toney, noted that the tournament is one for the fans as they aim to bring back the love for the game to the sport.

The tournament is expected to feature two exhibition games before the main game. Edison Jefford and Compton Babb are also organisers of the event.
