[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 40 – year – old Porter of East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, caught with a  cocaine smoking  utensil will now spend his Christmas Holidays in prison.

Ricardo Fernandez was sentenced to one month jail after he pleaded guilty to the offence before City Magistrate, Ann McLennan.

The Court heard that on November 21 at Albouystown, Georgetown, he had in his possession a utensil that is used to smoke cocaine.

Police Prosecutor Dinero Jones told the Court that on the day in question around 20:50 hrs, police were on duty at their security booth in Albouystown, when Fernandez was observed near one of the booths acting in a suspicious manner.

He was searched and the police found a transparent blue plastic object in his pants. Fernandez was unrepresented during his Court appearance.

  1. This magistrate is a complete and utter buffoon in my opinion. How can a man that “smokes cocaine” look so physically well? He smoking the herbs with it you morons and that should be legal quite frankly. Stupidity is rampant at the critical decision making levels in this country and that is a frightening thing.
