Police intercept Cocaine in rum on NY bound passenger at CJIA

Cocaine[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Police Narcotics Branch busted a New York bound passenger with cocaine in approximately four bottles of rum at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) yesterday, Sunday, October 05.

The suspect was an outgoing passenger to New York on a Caribbean Airlines Flight. According to a police report, the ranks conducted a search on the baggage in which 5 kilograms 829 grams of cocaine were found.

The man has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.

  1. Jail him and confiscate all proceeds from crime. Seek also the accomplices.
    The message must be sent. Too many times and too often people are caught at the CJIA. This can also mean that some is passing through.

  2. drug mule or fool…the 4 years jail time 2short..if they know they will receive minimum 50 years u bet they ent taking their chance..all dem rum boogie must be sad now to see how these drug mules giving rum a bad name
