Police destroy 10 marijuana fields, 25 nurseries at Haurauni

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Police ranks have again managed to find and destroy large cultivation of marijuana fields, this time at Haurauni, Upper Demerara River.

Police in a release today, the police stated that on Tuesday, September 30, ranks of the Police Narcotics Branch, acting on information, conducted a drug eradication exercise at the location.

Ten fields totaling about 15 acres in size were found with approximately 17,000 Cannabis Sativa (Marijuana) plants ranging from 1-8 feet in height under cultivation, along with twenty five nurseries with about 9000 seedlings, and seven camps.

They were all destroyed. Meanwhile, no arrest has been made.
