Police capture bandit following robbery at Kamboat Restaurant


[www.inewsguyana.com] – One man is in custody following a robbery on Kamboat Restaurant on Monday evening [September 16]. According to the police, at approximately 22:30h, two men, one of was armed with a handgun, entered Kamboat Restaurant on Sheriff Street, Georgetown, and held up the cashier and several patrons.

The perpetrators took away a cell phone and an undisclosed amount of cash and escaped. A police patrol that was in the vicinity responded and one of the suspects was arrested in Garnett Street. A .38 revolver was recovered. The man is in police custody and charges will be made shortly.
