While he does not agree with the word “coalition”, the Georgetown Mayor believes that a strong “partnership” will put the ruling People’s Progressive Party (PPP)) out of office.
He however does not believe that the APNU should give up its leadership at this time. During his appearance on the radio programme ‘Hard Talk’ aired on 90.1 Love FM, Mayor Green said, “Both sides must recognize the evil group we’re dealing with. The corruption is known. We have an enemy of corruption, evil misdeeds to deal with… A Partnership is necessary to win the elections.”
The Mayor is of the view that the race card should not be an issue for this election.
“I, myself have hope that by now, it [race] would not be important. Apparently it is still. It’s unfortunate because we need to work on principles and not personalities.”
He reiterated that the APNU is not the PNC, “and that’s important to remember. APNU is an adventure into the future.”
The two Opposition parties are currently in discussion as it relates to forming a pre – democracy alliance before the May 11 elections.
Green knows well that if PPP should become the opposition, which they (ppp) would not, that he will not be pressured against his inability to function as the mayor.
Guyanese are enjoying Growth,Development, And Prosperity under the PPP administration. Guyanese are enjoying living among the Indians that the PNC tried everything they know to wipe out. During the PNC Ethnic cleansing (killing of Indians) the PNC was enjoying raping the Indian mothers,daughters, and wives, while chopping,and shooting the men and bombing their properties. Hamilton Green was part and parcel of it. So why would we want to vote for the PNC who almost starve the Nation? The PNC are so corrupt that one of the deprave one is Blogging with multiples email addresses with names such as mine, pandit, andrew, salim, lila, and I suspect galfromna. The PNC is known for their fraud, and rigging. Will they change? Follow these comments and tell me if the PNC can ever change!
