“On May 11, 2015 Guyana will be reborn;” APNU/AFC Youths prepare for “sweet victory”

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Youth Representatives of the individual parties under the A Partnership for National Unity/Alliance for Change (APNU/AFC) coalition pledged that come May 11 Guyana will come out of the General and Regional Elections victorious.

The youths proclaimed that it is high time Guyana move away from its winner takes all-style politics that has dominated the political atmosphere for decades and go for a government of National Unity.

Speaking at the official launch of the coalition at Pegasus International Hotel, Kingston Georgetown, AFC’s Allan Fernandes remarked that the Party always felt the need to lead by tangible solutions to the issues that manifest itself in Guyana’s society.

“We needed to cut ties with the politics of our past giving a united Guyana a better future,” said Fernandes.

He indicated that the APNU/AFC coalition is an “unbeatable front of political action” of which AFC is a “likeminded and equal partner.”

“It is time that Guyana takes precedence…it is time that Guyanese take back Guyana,” he lamented adding that the coalition is the first step

Representative of the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) Malika Ramsey, said that the coalition is guaranteed victory at the upcoming elections. This she insisted will ensure a good life for all Guyanese.

It was Tabitha Halley representing the Working People Alliance (WPA) who sounded the cry of victory when she took to the platform on Wednesday morning.

She said that with this new coalition recognized under the Cummingsburg Accord, “Guyana has been firmly set on the path of national unity and reconciliation.”

Halley contended that on May 11, the results of the General and Regional Elections must represent a victory for all of Guyana.

“The Nation’s destiny is in our hand, we must do it now tomorrow is not an option…on May 11 we must have a peoples victory; on May 11 2015, Guyana will be reborn,” said Halley.
