Nine months jail for thief who broke into Lamaha Park house

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 23 – year-old man was today (Monday, November 03), sentenced to nine months imprisonment on a break and enter and larceny charge by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.

Cleveland Allen pleaded guilty to the charge which alleged that on October 28 at Lamaha Park, Georgetown he broke and entered the dwelling place of Jaroo Azore and stole one laptop computer and one cellular phone together valued $210,000.

Police Prosecutor, Michael Grant told the Court that on the day in question at around 07:30 hrs, the defendant returned to his home and noticed his windows were opened and the items missing.
