NGSA Results: Aspiring Doctor cops top spot in Region 2

[www.inewsguyana.com] – An aspiring doctor from Region 2 has managed to secure 522 marks at the 2015 National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) examinations results which were released on June 11, by the Education Ministry.

Duvina Seurattan of Fisher Primary School at Golden Fleece on the Essequibo Coast has been awarded a place at Queens College in Georgetown where she hopes to pursue her dreams in medicine.

The student, whose mother is a teacher, said she studied hard for the examination.

Meanwhile, the Taymouth Manor primary school has secured the second and third positions at the Regional level. Twelve – year-old Swasti Saytoo secured 521 marks while Christine Richardson was third with 517 marks.

Saytoo, who was very excited on hearing the good news, said she took extra lessons after school and credited her success to her teachers and her mother.

Christine Richardson, who lives at Adventure, said she took her studies very seriously and stayed up late at nights with her books. The student said she felt very happy and excited upon learning about her great success at the examinations.

Meanwhile, Aditya Sukhai of the Hampton Court primary school secured the fourth position for Region Two with 516 marks. Sukhai said he expected to do well and was very happy to hear the good news.

The 5th Regional position was captured by the CV Nunes Primary school at Anna Regina with 11-year-old

Shavez Banwarie securing 513 marks.
