Day three of the annual National Toshaos Council Conference at the Arthur Chung Conference Center saw the Toshaos from across Guyana electing a new Executive to serve for the next three years.
Executive member from the last Council, Nicholas Fredericks- Toshao of Shulinab Village in Region 9 has been elected to serve as Chair of the NTC while Toshao Paul Pierre of Kwebanna Village, Waini River, Moruca Sub-region, Region One (Barima/Waini) will serve as the Vice Chair.
Shulinab Village has been named as the National Heritage Village for 2018 and will open the Amerindian Heritage Month celebrations in September.
Nicholas Fredericks will be replacing Joel Fredericks as the NTC Chair.
