INews was told that the incident took place around 20:00hrs and that the motorcyclist died before he could have reached the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) for emergency treatment.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota X-Trail (PSS 9646) managed to escape the clutches of death last night when the accident occurred.

One of Singh’s daughters told INews this morning that her father had left home in ‘good spirits’ to celebrate his nephew’s birthday in the Lusignan village, ECD.

She stated that when her family received news of Singh’s death, they could not have come to grips with the fact that he will no longer be there for them.

“Our family is not too good because it is very shocking…he left yesterday good good…no words can’t comfort…he is actually my stepdad, he has two children of his own and four stepchildren in all, but he was a  very nice person, always give good advice, always there whenever you need him,” she tearfully stated.

INews was told that Singh’s Post Mortem (PM) examination was conducted today and it was revealed that he died as a result of severe injuries about his body.

Meanwhile, police ranks are presently conducting investigations into the matter.
