[www.inewsguyana.com] – An early morning fire on Sunday, March 30 completely destroyed a business place in Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara even as the proprietors have been recovering from the destruction of their business by fire at the said location a few years ago.

The fire which started at approximately 06.30 hours quickly ripped through the flat wooden structure which housed the Tony and Cavita Shopping Mall.

One man told iNews (www.inewsguyana.com) that he was passing the area on Sunday morning when he noticed a small fire in the building and alerted persons who summoned the Fire Service.

The Fire Service responded promptly with one fire tender while they received support from a GUYSUCO fire tender.

The business, which is owned by a couple, retails television sets, stoves, other electrical appliances and clothing.
