Minibus driver charged with assaulting another

A minibus driver was today placed on $75,000 bail for assaulting another driver.

Forty – year – old Wendell Morris of 35 West Ruimveldt Georgetown pleaded not guilty to the offence before Magistrate Fabyo Azore. According to the allegations, on July 20 at Cornhill Street, Georgetown Morris assaulted Tushaule Ross-Miller, causing her actual bodily harm.

Wendell Morris was represented by Attorney – at – law Omeyna Hamilton who made an application for reasonable bail and told the court that the virtual complainant used her minibus and rammed it several times against her client’s bus.

The Attorney said when her client tried to intervene; Tushaule Ross-Miller armed herself with an ice pick and attempted to attack her client who sought to defend himself.

However, the virtual complainant Tushaule Ross-Miller was represented by Attorney – at – law Basil Williams who disclosed that the woman was severely battered by the accused who dealt her several cuffs to her face, rendering her unconscious.
