A gold miner of Rosemary Lane South Cummings Lodge, Georgetown, who was busted with a quantity of cocaine and ammunition, was on Thursday remanded to prison after he pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him.

39-year-old Terrence Curry on April 4, 2017 had in his possession, several rounds of .32 ammunition, without being the owner of a firearm licence.

The second charge stated that the accused on the same day was found in possession of 173 grams of cocaine for trafficking purposes.

An unrepresented Curry pleaded not guilty to both charges which were read to him by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan and was remanded to prison after the police prosecutor objected to bail.

The court heard that the analysis certificate and ballistics report were still outstanding, causing the matter to be adjourned to April, 26, 2017.
