[www.inewsguyana.com] – The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 22 – year – old miner, Amsey Evans, of Iquaime, Pomeroon River, which occurred at about 9:00 hours yesterday at Toroparo Backdam, Cuyuni River.
Initial investigations indicate that Evans was searching in the Backdam when he was shot to his body after tripping a “Gun Trap”.
He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Bartica Hospital.
