[www.inewsguyana.com] – Three men were last evening intercepted by police in the vicinity of Uitvlugt, West Coast Demerara following a high speed chase behind radio and television personality, Ossie Rogers.
iNews was reliably informed that the men, who were traveling in a white Spacio motorcar – PSS 1626 – began trailing the vehicle of Rogers, who only noticed them while he was in the vicinity of Meten – Meer – Zorg, causing him to become suspicious.
Rogers told iNews that he tried to evade the men by driving through several streets and then decided to turn around, heading back to Georgetown, when he made contact with the police, who intercepted the men in Uitvlugt.
Rogers believes that the men were trailing him to his home and might have attacked him if he didn’t take swift action.
iNews understands that the men told the Police that they know Rogers, but up to the time of this publication, no reason was given by they trailed him.
When the police searched the vehicle of the men, a Golf Club was found.
Rogers told iNews that the incident has left him very fearful for his life, given the present political climate.
He said the men seemed to have been operating on the orders of others and is calling on the police to conduct a proper investigation to ascertain their motive.
