[www.inewsguyana.com] – An alleged larcenist is currently nursing a gunshot wound at the Georgetown Public Hospital after he was shot by police during an arrest attempt.
According to a police release, on Wednesday November 25, 2015, the police responded to a report of alleged larceny made against James Lamazon.
Police say the 29-year-old suspect was later seen at Middle Road, La Penitence.
During efforts to arrest him, Lamazon attempted to disarm the police rank and was shot to his left foot in the process.
He is currently under police guard at the GPHC.
