Man remanded for allegedly chopping wife in “slippers” row

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Forty – eight – year old Andre Robertson was remanded to prison by Magistrate Fabayo Azore for the offense of unlawful wounding.

It is alleged that on October 23, 2015 at Roxanne Burnham Gardens, Georgetown with intent main, disfigure or disable, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded his wife, Denise Fredericks.

He pleaded not guilty to the offense and according to the Prosecution, on the day in question, the duo was involved in a heated argument over a pair of slippers, when the accused chopped the woman several times to her left arm, resulting in severe injuries.

Bail was refused and he is accused of making his next court appearance on November 05.
