Man charged for assaulting, threatening reputed wife

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 36 – year-old man accused of assault and two counts of threatening language against his reputed wife, was placed on $60,000 bail by City Magistrate, Faith Mc Gusty on Thursday, November 12.

It is alleged that Nathan Daniels of North Sophia, Georgetown, on October 8, 2015 at GPL Reserve, Georgetown, he unlawfully and maliciously made use of threatening language towards Monetta Chapman.

It is also alleged that between October 30 and November 8, 2015 at the same location, he unlawfully and maliciously assaulted Chapman, so as to cause her grievous bodily harm.

He pleaded not guilty to both offenses. Meanwhile, 38 – year-old Chapman was also charged with damage to property.

The court heard that on October 30, 2015 at North Sophia Georgetown, she unlawfully and maliciously damaged one pool table, property of Daniels.

She pleaded not guilty to the offense and was placed on $10,000 bail.

They were both placed on a bond to keep the peace for twelve months and are scheduled to make their next court appearance on December 04.

  1. Is this NEWS. You guys needs to find something better than this domestic dispute. What about all the White Collar Crimes committed by the PPP.
