Quick action by the the Guyana Fire Service moments ago has averted what could have been a major fire at the Guyana Power and Light (GPL) Kingston, Georgetown location.
INews understands that a truck that was in the compound burst into flames near the fuel storage area.
A source told INews that the fire tenders arrived within minutes of receiving the report of the fire and managed to bring the situation under control.
