Lojo Brazilian Electronics on board with Kashif and Shanghai

[www.inewsguyana.com]Lojo Brazilian Electronics is another company to signal their support of this year’s inaugural Chico Kashif and Shanghai schools football tournament.

The company which is located in Mark Interior Communications Building Light Street, Bourda handed over their sponsorship last week.

Ann Pinmcino the company’s representative after handing over a quantity of uniforms and balls to the organizers said they are pleased to be associated with the tournament.

K and S Director Aubrey Shanghai Major thanked the entity for their support.

The tournament which starts on December 8 and concludes on January 1 will feature twenty four teams battling for the top title.

The teams which are being drawn from across Guyana will battle in the “knockout” tournament that at the Guyana National Stadium.

The schools were selected based on their performance in the annual Digicel Schools Football tournament and the prizes will mirror that of the previous senior Kashif and Shanghai competitions.

The winning school will receive $1.2 million, 75 percent of which must go towards a sports oriented project identified by the school. The runner up will collect $750,000, third place $500,000 and fourth place $250,000; 25 percent of it must go to a project of the school’s choice.

The Most Valuable player (MVP) will take home a Laptop and will also get the opportunity to have a one month stint with a team in the Trinidad and Tobago Professional League.
