[www.inewsguyana.com] – A Linden businessman was doused with acid yesterday allegedly by his wife, who accused him of being unfaithful. iNews understands that the man operated the ‘Chicken Bar’ on Republic Avenue in Linden and was reportedly about to head into the shower when the incident occurred.
He was rushed to the Mackenzie Hospital and the woman has managed to escape. Reports indicate that the businessman received severe burns to his face and upper body as well as to his thighs.
iNews understands that the man had tried to end the relationship between the two but the wife refused to leave the home. A police investigation is underway.
