Lifeless body found in Hotel on John’s street

The lifeless body of an a woman was discovered in a hotel room in Georgetown sometime on Easter Monday.

Based on reports received, the woman, who has not yet been identified but said to be in her late 30s, checked into a hotel on John’s Street, Georgetown on Sunday.
However, this publication was informed that the hotel’s staff told police that after noticing that she did not check out at the appointed time, they went to call on her.
A staff pointed out that the room was locked and several calls to the guest went unanswered. As such, the staff tampered with the locks in an effort to gain access to the room.
The woman’s body was lying on the bed in the room, and the police were quickly summoned.
The woman is said to be a known drug user, and the police are working on the theory that she died from a heart attack while consuming narcotics.
They are awaiting the post mortem examination to determine conclusively the cause of death.
Investigations are ongoing.
