A 31-year-old Lethem resident was taken into police custody after he reportedly dropped a bag containing 70 grams of cannabis on the Lethem Takatu Bridge.
According to the police, ranks of F Division on mobile patrol on Friday night (20:00hrs) saw the man acting in a suspicious manner.
He was reportedly walking on the Takatu bridge, and on seeing the police, he quickly dropped the bag, which was subsequently retrieved and found to contain the illegal substance.
The suspect is being processed for court.
