Kitty residents busted with Cocaine remanded to prison

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Two Kitty public road residents, charged separately for trafficking cocaine, were remanded by Magistrate Fabayo Azore.

Forty – four – year – old Landscaper, Quacy Oaker of 76 Kitty Public Road and 42 – year – old Businessman, Damian Carter of Lot 14 Kitty Railway Embankment, both of Georgetown, both pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The allegation against Oaker stated that on November 06 at Kitty Railway Embankment, Georgetown, he had in his possession 2 and half grammes of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Meanwhile, the charge against Carter stated that on the same day at Kitty Railway Embankment, Georgetown, he had in his possession 5 grammes of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Police Prosecutor, Simone Payne told the Court that on the day in question ranks acting on information went to a known drug lord where they met with the two defendants.

A search was carried out on both men and the illegal substance was found on their possession.

Attorney-at-law Mr. Adrian Thompson represented Carter, while Oaker was unrepresented.

Bail was denied and the matter was adjourned to December 02.
