Kitty man shot by pillion rider


A young man is now nursing a gunshot wound to his right hand after he was shot at by two men on a motorcycle this morning in the vicinity of William Street, Kitty.

gunReports are that 24-year-old Donald McKenzie who hails from Sandy Place, Kitty, had been walking along the street when he was approached by the two perpetrators around 08:30h today.

The pillion rider on the motorcycle is said to have discharged rounds at him, hitting McKenzie to his right hand.

According to information received, duo then made good their escape while the injured young man was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

INews understands that the two men on the motorcycle had been involved in an argument with McKenzie at a beer garden previously.

Investigations are presently on-going.
