[www.inewsguyana.com] – Overseas based distance athlete, Euleen Josiah-Tanner has clearly been in form this year with a number of wins her latest being on Saturday in Suriname at the second leg of the Telesur 10k.

Josiah-Tanner finished easily ahead of Guyana’s Andrea Foster and Suriname’s Ilsida Toemere in that order, now claiming both legs of the event. Local star Alika Morgan who finished third in the first leg on May 1 slipped to fourth this time around.

Josiah-Tanner was happy with the race but noted that she wanted to go a bit faster in the hot and windy conditions. However, she noted that getting the win was important as well.

Meanwhile, Guyana’s top distance star, Cleveland Forde won the second leg of the event after finishing second on May 1.

Forde defeated the very man that topped him in the first leg, relegating Jamaica’s Rupert Green to second and Guyana’s Cleveland Thomas to third. Trinidad based Guyanese, Kelvin Johnson finished fourth at the event.
