[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Guyana Jaguars national football team has commenced their one week training camp on Thursday evening at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence.

The team went through some light workout on Thursday as they got familiar with their teammates as well as their Head Coach Jamaal Shabazz and Assistant Coach Wayne Dover.

Present at the session were members of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Normalisation Committee who interacted with the players and the coaches.

Returning to the fold was former national captain Christopher Nurse as the only overseas based player thus far to join the squad.

The game against host Barbados in February will be Guyana’s first game of the season as they prepare to start their World Cup qualifiers later in the year.
