Investigation launched into Air Traffic Control after worker leaves post

[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Ministry of Public Works and the Guyana Civil Aviation Authourity (GCAA) have launched an investigation into an incident that allegedly occurred at the Control Tower, Timehri a little after midnight – March 8, 2014.

iNews understands that an Air Traffic Controller (ATC) left his post during the arrival of a Caribbean Airlines Flight, causing a slight delay.

“The investigation will focus on the operational procedures and code of conduct as it relates Air Traffic Control Services being provided by the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority,” a statement from the GCAA explained.
