An Immigration Officer and her friend met their demise late Saturday night on the Houston Public Road, East Bank Demerara (EBD) when the motorcycle on which they were traversing lost control and crashed into a concrete median.
Dead are Mirwava Chase 25 ,of William Street, Kitty and Stanley King, 24 years old of 116 section “M” Campbellville.
According to reports, the two were traversing on motorcycle CG 2195 at around 21:45hrs south along the western carriageway when King who was said to be speeding lost control while negotiating a turn and slammed into the median.
Chase who was the pillion rider was flung from the motorcycle and was subsequently rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
King reportedly died instantly as a result of the impact and was pronounced dead on arrival at the medical facility.
