[www.inewsguyana.com] – The West Indies Women produced a fiery performance with the ball to humble their Bangladeshi counterparts by runs to win their second match in the ICC T20 World Cup at Sylhet Stadium on Wednesday, March 26.

The 18-year old Shaquana Quintyne, orchestrated the demise of the hosts by taking three wickets to leave them all out for 79, looking for 116 set by West Indies.

She received support from Tremayne Smartt and Anisa Mohammed who picked up two wickets each. The left armed bowler was also voted player-of-the-match.

Middle order batswoman Rumana Ahmed top scored with 26 to lead a fight back which did not get far. In their batting innings, the West Indies looked a bit of out sorts, being bowled out in 20 overs for 115.

Deondra Dottin, who top scored with 34 and Stacy Ann King who hit 20 added the only sting to the innings.

Khadija Tul Kubra topped the bowling for Bangladesh with three for 24 runs.Their next game is against Sri Lanka on Saturday, March 30.
