[www.inewsguyana.com] – Orville Hinds pedaled away with the third annual Digicel sponsored Breast Cancer Awareness cycle road race on Sunday, October 26 which finished at the National Park’s entrance on Carifesta Avenue.

Hinds clocked 2h 39m 29s for the win to top Paul deNobrega who finished in second while Robin Persaud was third.

Andrew Greaves finished fourth ahead of Gebron Crawford for fifth and Marlon Williams sixth.

Defending champion on the distaff side Hazina Bharrat successfully defended her title finishing in 1h 28m 15s to finish ahead of Marcia Dick.

Greaves was the first junior to cross the finish line to finish ahead of Raul Leal and Michael Anthony, who finished second and third respectively.

The winner of the Juveniles was Romalo Crawford while Stephen Fernandes won the veteran category. Prizes were also given to the youngest rider, Whitney Boyer and the oldest in Montgomery Paris.

CEO of Digicel Gregory Dean congratulated all the riders and winners while noting that as participant in the race “there is no substitute for training”.
