[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Pepsi Hikers delivered and outstanding performance against the under-19 national side to win the 2014 edition of the men’s GT&T National Indoor Championship on Sunday evening at the National Gymnasium.

Jamarj Assanah turned the final into his show, displaying speed, accuracy and skill to score all four goals for Hikers that allowed them to win 4-2 against the under-dog finalists.

Aroydy Branford would then take matters into his own hands for the national under-19 team striking back twice in the dying moments of the game from a penalty and a corner for the consolation goals.

The GCC Tigers in the women’s final came out victorious with a 2-1 lead over the club mates GCC Spice.

Meanwhile, the GCC veterans made the game of hockey look simple against Old Fort to win the veteran’s title with a 7-3 score line.

Philip Fernandes and Devin Hooper would both score hat-tricks for GCC while the lone female in the encounter Tricia Fiedtkou notched the seventh goal to complete the dominant performance.
