The Guyanese has been identified as 31-year-old Dexter Cottoy, also called ‘Decky’, formerly of West Coast Berbice, while the second victim is Calvert Brown, also known as ‘Buju’, of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Reports are the bodies of the two men were found in their wrecked vehicle, which
presumably plunged some 150 feet downhill. Preliminary investigations indicated that the two men were travelling from a place called the Valley to a commercialised area when
the accident took place on Sunday evening. The bodies were pulled from the wreckage by public-spirited citizens.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) told an online media outfit: “The vehicle was found approximately 150 feet downhill of the cliff, which overlooks the Savannah Bay Beach. The bodies of the two were found inside the vehicle.”

Police Officers of the Virgin Gorda along with Fire and Rescue Services, medical personnel from the Nurse Iris O’Neal Clinic, Rasta Trucking, L&S Garage, employees of Yates and Associates and officers of the BVI Port Authority were all in attendance and assisted at the scene following the accident, the Police
stated.

An investigation has been launched.
