The Ministry of Health (MOH) on Sunday reported that two more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 426.
The latest fatalities are two men, a 63-year-old from Region 6 (East Berbice- Corentyne) and a 71-year-old from Region 10 (Upper Demerara- Berbice). They died while receiving care at our medical facility.
In addition, the ministry reported that 83 new cases were detected in the past 24h.
