Gunmen hijack car, shoot taxi driver in the face

The police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at about 21:30h. last night Monday July 22, at Go-Slow Avenue, Georgetown, during which taxi-driver Samuel Pinder, 43 years, of Albouystown, Georgetown, was shot and injured.

According to police investigations, Samuel Pinder picked up two men as passengers on Robb Street to go to Tuc-Ville. During the journey he was held up by the two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, and shot to his left side face. The perpetrators then escaped with Pinder’s silver coloured Premio motor car HA 2206.

Samuel Pinder has been admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
