[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Guyana Power and Light (GPL) is encouraging all customers to register for its E-billing – an online electronic billing system – boasting of a more secure and convenient way to receive bills.

Speaking to iNews on Wednesday (November 27) Senior Divisional Director, Information Technology Renford Hommer explained the several spin off benefits for both the consumer and GPL once customers register for the service.

He explained that once registered for E-billing, instead of receiving a bill by post, GPL will email to let you know your bill is ready to view online. You can store up to two years’ worth of bills securely, monitor your electricity usage and request an updated bill at any time.

To register all you need is a recent bill and an email address. Go to the company’s website –www.gplinc.com – and follow the instructions for registering.

Hommer guarantees that the service is easy, simple and convenient. He said GPL continues to seek out other initiatives to improve customer service.
